Dream Dye
A downloadable game for Windows and macOS
Dream Dye
A 2D puzzle platformer in which you delve into dreams and mix colours to dye objects, in a world where colours are a pigment of the imagination.
Dream Dye takes place in a doctor's office in the fictional village of Renkaya, a relatively normal village with just one strange difference – the only way to “make” colour is to dream about it.
In Dream Dye, you play as the village’s new Dream Doctor, a doctor who has the ability to travel into dreams and fix problems the villagers are having by completing different colour-themed platformer puzzles whilst in the form of a “dream blob”.
Dream Dye is a game created by me for my final year game project at university, with audio help from George Ricci and general help and assistance from my lecturers - Ste Curran, Andy Lemon, Robert Ramsay, Paul Sinnett, and Lara Lema.
(NOTE: Any feedback to improve the game will be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance!)

Great game, the only critique I have is the speed of the results between levels. It would be nice to be able to hit space to fast forward to the next level.
Thank you for the feedback!
Good game, interesting mechanics, awesome art
Thank you so much!!!
Hello! I just 100%'ed every level, but the credits still told me to replay them for a "special gift," and nothing.
Overall, not bad! Wall jumping is a little janky and the red pencil in level 2 needed a bit more of a hint. I would have played more!
Hi! Thank you so much for playing Dream Dye :)
Ah that's really weird, must be some sort of bug, I'll look into it soon - Thank you for mentioning it!
Also really sorry about the really awkward wall jump, will work on a fix for that soon, but I'm really happy to hear that you'd play more of the game
Thank you!
Hello. I made a video about the game. I really appreciate the art direction and the idea is quite nice as well. Yet I had some points that really would need some fixing cause that was a bit uhm.... aggravating. If you wish you can check my video to find out more.
Hello!
Thank you so much for your feedback! I definitely agree with the points made about the wall jump (and the movement in general) - honestly, it's my first time creating a proper platformer game so I'm still in the learning stages of making wall jumps and movement feel good and work well, I'll keep practising though and hopefully next time it'll be better!
Thank you again!
No problem. Sorry if I got a bit angry towards the end though. Still not bad for your first game. I certainly liked the Art style and musical choice.
It's fine! It's understandable 😅
Thank you :D!
Hiiii, I've made a video about the game and wanted to share some feedback about it, hopefully it is useful to you ^^
-The idea of the game is pretty original.-The gameplay mechanics are interesting and easy to get into, I'll say that the movement could be a little bit better polished, but in general the game feels very solid.
-The visual style of the game has some personality and feels unique while fitting with the rest of the game.
Hopefully this is useful to you :D, also if you could subscribe that would help me a lot :)
Regards
